Hackers have compromised the official SpaceXAI and Starlink social media accounts to promote a newly minted cryptocurrency token called SCATMAN, according to blockchain monitoring platform Lookonchain.
As reported by Odaily, two wallets linked to the attackers minted an enormous supply of 10 trillion SCATMAN tokens and immediately swapped the entire amount for 59 ETH. In a separate transaction, another hacker-controlled wallet exchanged 59.28 million SCATMAN tokens for 14.7 ETH.
Lookonchain estimates the total profit from these fraudulent activities to be approximately $125,000.
